We are committed to responding to the training needs of our professional community. Toward this goal, MHAW offers workshops that respond to the current needs of our professional community. Topics have included: best practices for working with Veterans; how to best serve children of immigrant families, and; a range of clinical services pertaining to children and families.

The Association for Mental Health and Wellness is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board of Mental Health Professionals to provide Continuing Education Hours for the following professionals:
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT)
- Licensed Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT)
Workshop may range from three hours to full day conferences. These workshops help to keep Long Island professionals informed of the most current and effective practices.
