When is Enough, Enough? Ethics in Health Care.

This three hour workshop with cover the basics of ethics, as well as dive deeper into specific situations we may encounter as behavioral health care providers. Participants will learn about how ethical considerations enter into many of our day-to-day interactions with patients and clients. Presenter Kristie Golden, Ph.D., has a Doctoral degree in Arts and Sciences with a concentration in Health Administration from Union Institute and University, a Master of Science degree in Education and Rehabilitation Counseling from Hofstra University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from SUNY Stony Brook.

4th Annual Veteran and Family Day of Wellness

A host of free activities for Veterans and their families dealing with post-service transition issues. Children are welcome! Breakfast and lunch will be served. Walk-ins are welcome however the first 100 people to register receive a free Dwyer Project Day of Wellness commemorative t-shirt.

5th Annual Kick Stands Up Motorcycle Poker Run and Car Show for Homeless Veterans

Co-Hosted by: Founding Sons Law Enforcement/Military Motorcycle Club and Impressive and Aggressive Motor Club

Free Admission to the Public

Motorcycle/Car Registration: 9:00am to 10:30am

Kick Stands Up: 11:00am

Veterans and their families from across Long Island come together for this annual event. Beautiful bikes as well as custom and classic cars will be on display. Proceeds benefit Suffolk County United Veterans which provides housing and support services for homeless veterans.
