Where Autism and Mental Health Intersect: Mental Health Aspects of ASD

Attendees will learn hallmark differences in ASD that lead to an increased incidence of adverse and traumatic experiences, with the intent to help develop environments where these risks are minimized. Mindfulness Skills Training for the Behavioral Health Provider

This workshop will provide an in-depth understanding of what is meant by mindfulness and mindfulness techniques. Participants will learn about and experience various mindfulness skills which can be used to develop their own mindfulness practice, as well as for use in their clinical work. Presenter: Laura Rivela, LCSW-R, has over twenty years of experience as a behavioral health provider, educator, and director. She has been practicing and teaching Mindfulness since 1999.
