We are participating in #GivingTuesday
#GivingTuesday is November 28, and we are nearly halfway towards our goal of raising $10,000 by then to fund renovations that will provide much-needed additional services for our U.S. Veterans. With your help, we can make this happen!
Please click the "Donate" button below and give what you can. Your contribution, no matter how small -- $5, $10, $20 or more -- will go a long way towards this goal.
Each day we will be bringing you a new story of inspiration and hope -- and it is our hope that it will help to inspire you to give.
Within the next few months, we plan to expand the dining/community area, reception, offices, the room for overnight staff, and install an elevator to assist Veterans with disabilities to access services on the second floor. Donors will be invited to a special ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of an improved facility that matches the dignity with which our Veterans and staff deserve.
DONATE NOWThank you, Mission United!
Orbital ATK, Defense Systems Group, located in Ronkonkoma, NY is proud to donate $800 in Lowes gift cards to the Association for Mental Health and Wellness for the #Giving Tuesday Campaign to support Suffolk County United Veterans shelter renovations that will provide additional services for our U.S. Veterans in need. This gift is made through United Way of Long Island's "Mission United" program. Mission United is a critical program supporting United States military veterans and their families as they transition to civilian life. Mission United focuses on employment services, education, financial services, health, and housing support. The need for these services is particularly significant on Long Island as we have more than 100,000 veterans living in our communities.
