SUMMARY:Racial Trauma\, Recovery\, and Resiliency
DESCRIPTION:In this workshop\, explore clinical examples\, treatment models\, case vignettes and treatment goals and conceptualization. A brief history of slavery\, segregation\, and systemic racism will be reviewed. Learn about interpersonal\, institutional\, and systemic racism\, along with microaggressions and review racial resiliency and strength in racial and ethnic minorities\, specifically African American populations. Presenter: Philip Sarpong\, MA\, studied Neuroscience during his undergrad life at Indiana University. He then attended Boston University\, obtaining his Masters in Health Sciences. \n
