SUMMARY:Evidence-Based Assessment and Treatment Approaches for Suicidal Behavior and Non-Suicidal Self-Injury in Adolescents
DESCRIPTION:This workshop will provide mental health professionals with guidance on how to assess and treat suicidal ideation/behavior and NSSI in adolescents. Participants will learn how to conduct comprehensive risk assessments using evidence-based tools\, develop individualized safety plans\, and determine the need for a higher level of care. Presenters: Jessica McCurdy\, J.D.\, Ph.D. is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Child Outpatient Psychiatry Department at Stony Brook University Medical Center. Amy Hyoeun Lee\, Ph.D. is a full-time postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Psychology at Stony Brook University\, and holds a joint appointment in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health as a DBT-A program clinician. \n
