Salary: $48,000 plus competitive benefits

Hours: 8:30AM to 4:30PM Monday through Friday

Location: Ronkonkoma, NY

Availability: ASAP

">Position Description:

The PROS Professional Staff Member will work as a member of an assigned PROS team carrying a range of direct service and program oversight responsibilities. These responsibilities rest within the Psychiatric Rehabilitation and support framework of direct service to participants and call for direct skills teaching, group facilitation, and coordinating roles.

Candidate will work as part of a PROS team in such a way as to help ensure that the team achieves its assigned quantitative and qualitative objectives that have been established by the agency and communicated via the PROS Director. This includes active participation in assessing, developing, and implementing program services in a manner that is responsive to client needs and utilizes the psychiatric rehabilitation approach and technologies.

Candidate will lead team and facilitate weekly meetings in order to:

    1. Provide regular supervision to team members.
    2. Monitor documentation to ensure quality and timeliness.
    3. Monitor and respond to target program deliverables (revenue, enrollment, levels of service, etc.)
    4. Monitor program/client outcomes (employment, hospitalizations, etc.)
    5. Ensure responsive and effective program development and design
Qualifications:

The successful candidate should possess or be quickly able to acquire the following skills and abilities:

  •  Excellent inter-personal communication including the ability to establish empathic, empowering relationships with people who have experienced psychiatric and co-occurring disabilities and trauma
  • Sound communication and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills as an electronic record and e-health information exchange is used daily
  • Basic knowledge of the public health/behavioral health system, public entitlements, and psychiatric recovery needed. Applicants with personal, lived recovery experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Training and understanding in substance abuse and/or learning disabilities a plus
  • Knowledge and experience with Cognitive Behavioral practice is a plus
  • Knowledge/interest in Dual Diagnosis recovery a plus
  • Willingness to further develop knowledge of health insurance and benefits.

Education:

Candidates should possess a Master’s degree with certification/licensure; 3-5 years post-Master’s experience, including supervisory experience.
