Professional Continuing Education Coordinator

Salary: TBD

Hours: 18 hours per week

Location: Ronkonkoma, NY

Availability: ASAP

Position Description:
  • The Professional Continuing Education Coordinator will develop a yearly calendar of professional workforce development workshops as well as children’s mental health conferences (3 per year).

Key activities include:

  • Co-Chair Children’s Mental Health Conference Committee; planning and development of all aspects of the conference
  • Building and monitoring linkages with local universities and professionals
  • Researching and contracting with potential presenters
  • Development of Membership base
  • Maintenance of training budgets
  • Revenue tracking
  • Marketing and promotion of all workshops and conferences
Qualifications:

The successful candidate should possess the following skills and competencies:

  • A Master’s degree in human service field and 3 years post Master’s experience in a clinical setting is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Solid computer skills inclusive of Word, Excel, etc. and not for profit funding platform, website maintenance, social media
  • Knowledge of NYSED Continuing Education compliance a plus
  • Clean NYS Driver’s License
